Number 34 is yours truly, known as Lawrence Rhodes in those days. My parents and I resided at the Cox Tourist Camp on the west edge of town from the summer of 1948 until December 1949 when we moved to Wise. This made me a member of “Cox's Army,” who waged the daily fight to catch the school bus another mile farther west, or walk about a mile to school. The Cox members of the “army” were Dean, Charlene, and Patricia at that time.
